Wisconsin State Requirements
PDH's Required:
30 Units
Renewal Period:
Biennial by July 31 of even years
Course Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve courses. You must select a course activity that meets your State Board criteria.
Sponsor Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve continuing education sponsors.
Course Applicability:
The course must have a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee’s field of practice. A minimum of 30 PDH's must be obtained each renewal period including a minimum of 2 PDH's in the areas of professional conduct and ethics.
Online PDH's:
Up to 17 PDH's may be obtained online (distance education courses via the internet) each renewal period. As such, CED's Live Webinars will satisfy the requirement of obtaining the remaining PDH's through live interaction type instruction.
PDH Deferral:
15 PDH's may be carried over into the next renewal period.
