Vector Control and Direct Torque Control Drives
Note: This is a recorded video presentation and does not qualify as a live webinar.
This online engineering PDH video presentation will present information on vector control and direct torque control drives of drives and how to manipulate them.
This video presentation discuss the 4-quadrant operation of a drive. It will then dive into a discussion on different types of drives including diode rectifiers, full regenerative drives, and active front end drives. It will give an understanding on how to apply power control for different types of applications and how to avoid mistakes in setting up a vector or direct torque control drive.
This 1 PDH video presentation is intended primarily for electrical engineers, technicians, and others who are interested in enhancing their understanding of vector control and direct torque control drives.
This PE continuing education video presentation is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Understanding the 4-quadrant operation of a drive
- Learning about the difference between diode rectifiers, full regenerative drives, and active front end drives
- Understanding how to apply the proper control for a particular application
- Understanding scalar V/Hz, vector-field oriented control, and direct control-accelerated vector or current control
- Knowing how to avoid mistakes in setting up a vector or direct torque control drive
