South Dakota State Requirements

PDH's Required:

30 Units

Renewal Period:

Biennial based on the original date of licensure

Course Pre-approval:

The State Board does not pre-approve courses. You must select a course activity that meets your State Board criteria.

Sponsor Pre-approval:

The State Board does not pre-approve continuing education sponsors.

Course Applicability:

A minimum of 20 PDH's must be relevant to technical matter. A maximum of 10 PDH's must be related to management subjects

Online PDH's:

There are no limitations on the number of PDH’s earned online.

PDH Deferral:

Up to 15 PDH may be carried over into the next renewal period.
