PDH's Required:
20 Units
Renewal Period:
Biennial by August 31 of even years.
Course Pre-approval:
The DC Board does not pre-approve courses. You must select a course activity that meets the Board criteria.
Sponsor Pre-approval:
The DC Board states that "a continuing education program shall be deemed approved by the Board if the offering is approved by a licensing board of another jurisdiction that regulates the practice of land surveying or professional engineering”. CED is an approved sponsor in the States of Florida, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina.
Course Applicability:
The course must have a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee’s field of practice. A minimum of 20 PDH's must be obtained each renewal period including a minimum of 1 PDH in professional ethics.
Online PDH's:
There are no limitations on the number of PDH's earned online.
PDH Deferral:
The DC Board currently does not provide any information regarding the number of PDHs than can be carried over into the next renewal period.
