Customer Support Specialist Position
POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Continuing Education and Development Inc. (www.cedengineering.com), an approved online continuing education provider for professional engineers, located in New Jersey, US is seeking a part-time Customer Support Specialist to assist our customers, who are navigating our website, with phone and email inquiries as well as other administrative tasks.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The following is the description for this position:
- Position Title: Customer Support Specialist
- Work Hours: Part Time from home (remote) – Mon to Fri – 8 am to 5 pm EST
- Hourly Rate: $15 to $18 per hour
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Responding & resolving customer queries in a timely and accurate manner via phone and email;
- Guiding users through the features and functionalities of the website;
- Recommending suitable online continuing education programs;
- Making best effort to engage customers with the goal of converting their inquiries into sales;
- Updating website and email databases with applicable information; and
- Other miscellaneous administrative tasks.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The following are the requirements for this position:
- Candidate must have a minimum of High School Diploma;
- Candidate must be very well spoken, friendly and confident to earn the clients’ trust;
- Candidate must have proffesional English speaking and writing skills;
- Candidate must have excellent Computer Skills including Microsoft Office; applications and various web-conferencing media;
- Candidate must have own PC/Laptop equipped with the latest industry applications;
- Previous experience in online customer support services is preferred but not mandatory; and
- Initial training will be conducted remotely.
