Technology, Benefits and Costs of Landfill Gas Systems
This online engineering PDH course discusses how local governments and communities can achieve energy, environmental, health, and economic benefits by using landfill gas (LFG) recovered from municipal solid waste landfills as a source of renewable energy.
The steps and considerations involved in developing and implementing LFG energy projects and an awareness of expected costs and financing opportunities are described. Two case studies are presented.
This 2 PDH online course is intended for city engineers, engineers working for energy service companies and contractors, and local government officials.
This PE continuing education course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Understanding the benefits of LFG
- Learning about the technologies for recovering and using LFG
- Understanding the foundations for project development
- Knowing the strategies for effective project implementation
- Learning about costs and financing opportunities
In this professional engineering CEU course, you need to review the course document titled, “Technology, Benefits and Costs of Landfill Gas Systems” which is based on the EPA document, “Landfill Gas Energy, A Guide to Developing and Implementing Greenhouse Gas Reduction Programs,” 2012, as part of EPA’s Local Government Climate and Energy Strategy Series.
Once you complete your course review, you need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of fifteen (15) questions to earn 2 PDH credits. The quiz will be based on this EPA publications.
Upon successful completion of the quiz, print your Certificate of Completion instantly. (Note: if you are paying by check or money order, you will be able to print it after we receive your payment.)
