Dr. Raghu holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and a MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New Jersey.
Dr. Raghu is a retired Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology with 50 years of academic experience. His area of specialization is Geotechnical Engineering. He taught a wide spectrum of undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering in areas such as Construction, Geology, Mechanics and Structures in addition to Geotechnical engineering.
Dr. Raghu developed Geoenvironmental Engineering Laboratory as Principal Investigator of a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded project. He also developed for the first time two courses in Rock Mechanics in addition to revamping and redesigning several courses throughout his academic career.
