Omar Alsamman, Ph.D., P.E.
Dr. Omar Alsamman is an online PDH course provider of continuing education courses for professional engineers.Dr. Alsamman is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of New Jersey and Connecticut. He holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Alsamman is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. He has earned his title as a member of the America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals. Throughout his career, he has written and published numerous technical publications related to his areas of expertise.
Dr. Alsamman has over 15 years of experience in foundation design and construction as well as project management. His research focused on the analysis and design of caissons and on the Cone Penetration Test method. He has managed complex and high-profile projects throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Dr. Alsamman's practice includes design and supervision of subsurface investigation programs, design of shallow and deep foundation systems, design of soil nails and rock anchors, design of earth retaining structures, design and supervision of underpinning systems, and design of ground-improvement techniques. His expertise also involves slope stability analysis, geotechnical instrumentation design, and forensic engineering.
