Engineering Ethics — Case Studies in Espionage
In this online engineering PDH course, principles of engineering ethics are reinforced by examination of case studies of espionage.
The case studies are actual espionage cases that have been successfully prosecuted by agencies of the Federal government. Espionage was chosen as the subject of the case studies because it provides exposure to ethical situations which are important but probably unfamiliar to most professional engineers. The ethical aspects of the cases are developed by identifying specific passages in the standards of conduct for engineers that were violated by the actions of the convicted engineers.
This 2 PDH course is intended for engineers interested in increasing their understanding of the applicability and relevance of engineering ethics.
